Our mission is to provide the highest quality orthopedic implants to restore, repair, and regenerate biological and mechanical functionality lost due to degenerative diseases or trauma-related incidents.

About the Role

Tissue Processing Technicians work within designated production teams to manufacture safe, high-quality human tissue allografts in accordance with established specifications, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This role is an important part of our mission to restore patient lives through biologically superior allograft solutions.

The Tissue Processing Technician works in a controlled cleanroom environment and performs tissue processing, packaging, equipment operation, cleaning, and documentation activities while maintaining strict standards for quality, aseptic technique, and GMP compliance. This is a safety-sensitive position. The responsibilities of this role directly impact workplace safety, product quality, regulatory compliance, and the integrity of products intended for human implantation. Employees in this position are subject to the Company’s Substance Abuse Policy and applicable drug and testing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tissue cutting, preparation, packaging, and other processing activities in an aseptic environment.
  • Prepare sterile work areas, supplies, instruments, and equipment required for tissue processing.
  • Assemble, operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and monitor equipment and instrumentation used in tissue processing and specialty graft production.
  • Maintain accurate and complete production and quality documentation in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, sanitation, and preparation of instruments and equipment for sterilization.
  • Monitor environmental conditions and report abnormalities, deviations, or processing concerns to management.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and clean, organized, inspection-ready work areas.
  • Work closely with Production and Quality teams to meet production objectives and product quality requirements.
  • Complete required training, competency assessments, and observational audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant industry experience will also be considered.
  • Previous tissue banking experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience processing one or more types of human tissue, including soft tissue, orthopedic/structural allografts, dental, plastics, or dermis.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and aseptic technique.
  • Basic understanding of microbiological principles as they apply to tissue processing.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions consistently.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards given the sensitive nature of human tissue processing.

Work Environment

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires strict adherence to established safety, quality, GMP, aseptic processing, and regulatory requirements. The position involves working in a controlled cleanroom environment and handling human tissue intended for implantation. Employees are expected to maintain a safe work environment and follow all applicable OSHA requirements and company procedures related to safety, product quality, tissue processing, and regulatory compliance.
